About Us

Our Approach

Freedom Tree Mental Health Counseling is a safe space for individuals and romantic partners to heal, grow, and thrive. Our practice is founded on the principles of trauma-informed, holistic, multicultural, and feminist approaches to therapy. We are dedicated to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for all clients.

Our mission is to support adults in processing and healing from personal, intergenerational, and racial traumas, as well as addressing minority stress such as BIPOC, LGBTQIA and Non-Monogamy or Polyamory related issues. We are client centered and committed to helping our clients achieve mental, emotional, and relational well-being in a way that aligns with their values.

Trauma-informed therapy acknowledges the impact of trauma on mental health, well-being and relationships. It provides a compassionate approach to healing using an integration of talk-therapy, personal exercises and somatic focused therapy.

We embrace a multicultural and feminist approach to therapy, recognizing the impact that socio-cultural experiences and identity has on mental health, emotional perspectives and well-being. Our services are tailored to honor and support diverse cultural backgrounds, social experiences and identities.
